SlumpFluid RRC 4

SlumpFluid RRC 4

high performance retarding plasticiser for concrete

Reducessegregation and bleed ingImprovescohesion, workability and compactability in concrete using poorly graded/shaped fine aggregates. Reduces placing problems in hot weather by improved workability and workability retention in conjunction with extended setting times Improves surface finish Improves trowellability Reduces honey combing / cold jo int effects

  • Increased working time

  • Early strength development resulting in economic stripping time for pre-cast and in cast-situe concrete high water reduction resulting in high density, high strength, and reduced water permeability

  • Excellent plasticizing effect, improving flowability, placing, and compaction behaviour. Improved surface finish

  • Better shrinkage and creep behaviour

  • Low risk of segregation

  • Reduces energy costs for steam-cured pre-cast elements

  • Does not contain chloridesor or another steel corrosion-promoting ingredient

Description

SlumpFluid RRC 4 is a high-performance plasticising retarder, beneficial in ma inta ining workability especially in high ambient temperatures. Suitable for use in hot and tropical climatic conditions.

Advantages

Reducessegregation and bleed ingImprovescohesion, workability and compactability in concrete using poorly graded/shaped fine aggregates. Reduces placing problems in hot weather by improved workability and workability retention in conjunction with extended setting times Improves surface finish Improves trowellability Reduces honey combing / cold jo int effects
  • Powerful plasticising action Production of workable concrete at low w/b ratio Improved shrinkage and creep characteristics Excellent flowability resulting in minimal placing and compacting efforts Slower rate of carbonation ingress Cost-effective, structurally economic higher ultimate strengths allows greater flexibility for engineers to design Reduced surface defects so improving aesthetic appearance

    • Durable concrete

      • i

Usage

  • Ready mixed concrete where high workability retention and retardation are highly required.

  • Hot weather concreting of all types.

  • Pre-cast concrete

  • Dispensing

This is a ready-to-use admixture that should be added to the concrete as a separate component. For the best results, add it to the concrete mix immediately after the first 80% of the mixing water has been introduced—when all solids are properly wetted. Avoid adding the admixture directly to dry aggregates.

    Compatibility

To ensure compatibility among products, please reach out to our technical team. We’re here to help!

  • Recommended dosage

The recommended dosage ranges from 0.3% to 2. 0% by weight of the binder or 0.13% to 0.2% by weight of the total mix mass. However, the exact dosage may vary based on mix design, raw materials, climatic conditions, and specific concrete requirements. It is essential to conduct trial mixes to determine the optimal dosage for your application.

    Concreting guidance

Follow standard best practices for concrete production and placement, adhering to relevant industry standards. Proper curing of fresh concrete is essential, especially in high temperatures, to prevent plastic and drying shrinkage.
